Tochal My colleague, Matt, hooked me up with a contact in Tehran. After a taxi-driver tried to double the agreed price of the taxi in finding his place, we decided to escape the city for the day and head-up to the Alborz mountains. Mount Tochal is right on edge of the city, and offers a welcome break from the pollution which hangs over Tehran, as well as spectacular views over its 7,800,000 inhabitants and the desert which stretches to the horizon.
