Marrakech

Here begins two weeks in Morocco.

I arrived in Marrakech, where in the heat of the maghreb I met up with Tom, Claire & Steph who were coming from London. It’s been a while since I’ve seen them, and the whole trip was organised by e-mail. I was eager to get around a table of mint-tea with these guys!

The day was spent wandering around the labyrinth of the souks of the city, fending off the pedlars & hawks, ignoring the shouts that “we were going the wrong way”, and watching the sun set from the colonial balconies.

Next stop, the High Atlas mountains.
