Trans-Asia Express

Every Wednesday evening, a train leaves Istanbul bound for Tehran, a journey which takes three days.

After having applied months before, and arriving in Istanbul a week previously, I finally was able to pick-up my visa from the Iranian embassy in Istanbul the morning of the train.

A little optimism can go a long way.
